We can use most graphics to produce table tops. These can be generalized into two types - VECTOR and RASTER. Vector graphics are preferred for logos as they provide the best clarity when printed due to their "scalability". Typically your art department or printer will be able to supply you with vector art for the image you want produced. We use Adobe Illustrator to set up our art files for printing. Submit vector art saved in version 10 or prior in either .ai or .eps formats.

Lower left shows the small vector file scaled (enlarged) 300 times its size. Lower right shows the same image as a raster file scaled 300 times its size. Vector files allow unlimited enlargement without pixelation or distortion.

When submitting raster images (photos, .jpg or .tif files), the image when printed, should have a resolution of 150 dots per inch (dpi) at the actual print size. If you submit raster art file for a 24" table top at actual size, save it at 150 dpi. If the file is submitted at 6" (1/4 actual size), it should be saved at 600 dpi.
